Spectra QEST, a leader in providing world-class software products to the construction materials and geotechnical testing industries, is excited to announce the launch of QEST Platform 5.7.
Custom Worksheets
QEST Platform 5.7 includes a groundbreaking new feature, the worksheets toolkit. This feature empowers our users to create their own specialized laboratory and field testing worksheets tailored to meet industry standards and test method requirements.
This latest addition to QEST Platform greatly enhances functionality and user experience, allowing Spectra QEST’s customers to streamline their workflows and increase productivity by closing gaps for tests that are not covered out of the box.
It is now possible for system administrators to configure their own worksheets and reports for inspections, concrete, aggregates, soil, and asphalt laboratory and field tests. Worksheets created in this way are indistinguishable from QEST Web App worksheets built by Spectra QEST and:
- Can be created, configured, and modified without requiring updates to QEST Platform
- Automatically become QESTField workflows, if nominated as field tests
- Do not require involvement from Spectra QEST to create or maintain
- Can be easily and quickly downloaded and transferred between environments
- Share many of the same baseline features as the worksheets built by Spectra QEST including, but not limited to
- A wide variety of basic data entry components such as simple fields, grids, and fixed lists,
- QEST Platform specific data entry elements such as reference list fields, equipment fields that check calibration status
- Logic and calculations defined in a powerful scripting engine
- Various formatting and layout options including the ability to programmatically alter the appearance of the worksheet based on state
- Inclusion of charts on worksheets and subsequent reports, and more
With the new toolkit, users can easily design and customize worksheets specific to their requirements, with the intuitive features and wide range of customizable options in the worksheet building tool. Spectra QEST customers also receive access to a number of pre-built templates as part of the provided online documentation.
QEST Platform’s worksheets toolkit not only enhances the software’s capabilities but also gives our users the freedom to create customized solutions that drive efficiency and innovation. Check out the video below to learn more.
QEST Platform worksheets toolkit allows you to build your worksheets, your way and are available now in QEST Platform 5.7.
Concrete in QEST Web App for the UK Market
QEST Platform 5.7 also marks the first time that concrete testing appears in QEST Web App, another major step along the migration path for our products. This migration brings the key concrete testing functionality to a new, advanced, technology platform. This upgrade enhances user experience, improves performance, and sets a new standard in concrete testing.
QEST Web App brings a vastly improved user experience to concrete testing in QEST Platform. Users can now take advantage of the improved UI and object structures, streamlining workflows and boosting productivity.
Key improvements include:
- A more flexible design: concrete sampling and field tests now each have their own worksheets, allowing for a more dynamic and flexible sample structure, better reflecting the needs of each job and sample
- Automatic equipment selection: equipment is selected automatically for users based on their last used equipment on both field and concrete laboratory tests
- Re-worked receipt workflow: receiving concrete specimens in the laboratory has never been easier, with a dedicated receipt workflow in QEST Web App
- Streamlined laboratory test entry: A specialized data entry UI and process for daily concrete laboratory test results that supports equipment interfacing and provides insights based on data from the whole set of specimens.
The following concrete test methods are available in QEST Platform 5.7:
- Sampling Methods
- Fresh concrete sampling [BS EN 12350-1 – 2019]
- Taking Cored Samples [BS EN 12504-1 Cl. 6 – 2019]
